HORSE RIDING LESSONS

Our riding lessons are designed to teach you not only how to ride but to teach you horsemastership skills and knowledge. We offer this service to riders from 5 years of age up, it doesn't matter if you have no experience or if you want to expand your knowledge and experience. We welcome riders of all abilities - nervous riders, confident riders, competitive riders, pleasure riders or riders with learning or mild physical disabilties. We also offer lead rein rides for under 5 years of age, which can be just a pony ride or a mini basic lesson.

Our lessons cover learning how to:

  • Catch, Brush & Saddle
  • Day to day care & Feeding
  • Basic Farrier & Veterinary knowledge
  • Ride from the most basic skills to the more advnaced skills of riding dressage, show jumping, playing games on horse back and bare back riding.
  • De-sensitizing your horse/pony from the ground.
  • Children can work their way through certificate levels that follows the pony club certificate programme

Our groups are kept a smaller ratio to most riding schools so that our riders get the most out of their lessons. Smaller groups encourage faster and safer learning. Private one on one lessons are available and highly recommended for new beginner riders or for nervous riders.

After school at 3.30pm & 4.30pm

Starts from 7.30am first lesson & 12pm last lesson

Lead Rein Lessons:

These are designed for children under 5 years of age.

Lesson days and times for these are only available mid-week due to high bookings on weekends.

1 hour Group lessons onsite:

Child: $60.00

Adult: $70.00

1 hour Private lessons onsite:

Child: $70.00

Adult: $80.00

Lead rein/30min lessons onsite: 

Child: $35.00

Adult: $45.00

1 hour lessons offsite: 

Child: $90.00

Adult: $100.00

Travel charges are extra if outside of a 25km radius of Pokeno

Cancellation policy:

If for any reason you cancel your lesson in less than 24 hours of your booked lesson time or you fail to turn up then you will be charged for the full cost of your lesson price
