SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
This is a fantastic day for children of all ages and abilities to own a pony for a day. We accept children from the ages of 4 years old to 17 years old. NO experience is necessary. We have safe horses and ponies to cater for all riding abilities.
The programme teaches the children all about horsemanship skills and knowledge - such as the basics of catching, leading, brushing, saddling and pony health. As part of their riding they do a basic lesson of learning or advancing on their riding skills and knowledge before they play games on horseback, learn to ride over jumps, go for a farm or road ride.
The children get to paint the ponies and learn how to plait their mane and tails with the help of older pupils. This is a great experience for kids to experience owning a pony or horse for 1 day, team building activities, make new friends and perhaps making horse riding a new sport, passion or future career.
We do overnight camps usually on a Wednesday every week for children between the ages of 12 - 17 years old. Children come on the Wednesday - bringing their own lunch, do the all day programme and once the day has finished they can swim in the pool, play games, do team building exercises and enjoy a nice BBQ and dessert before night time activities. In the morning on the Thursday we provide a selection of breakfast food and drink, they help out with morning farm duties until the programme starts again at 10am doing a another full day programme. We provide their lunch and drinks.FOR the overnight camp to go ahead we must have 4 students booked for it.
Programmes are run Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays.
